HM Embassy Tiblisi

Location: Tiblisi, Georgia

Year: 2003-2004
Client: Foreign and Commonwealth Office
Project Status: Built
Budget: Confidential

In 2003 Ian Peters was commissioned to draw up a series of feasibility studies for the interior layout and design of HM Embassy in Tiblisi, Georgia. The Embassy consisted of 1500sqm and was to be included in an existing building on the 3rd, 4th and 5th floor.

Specialised co-ordination was required with the contractors of the new build to ensure that the FCO specifications for external cladding were adhered to with specific security measures.

Despite the fit-out contractor being selected from the UK it was important to source materials locally for the commeon areas to enhance the sustainable credentials of the project.
